WELCOME TO Shrewsbury & District Riding Club

Our riding club aims to cater for all levels of ability of both horse and rider.  Shrewbury and District Riding Club (SDRC) accepts members from the age of 15 upwards. We run regular clinics for showjumping and dressage at Walford and Berriewood; we also use other venues for Cross Country clinics and other activities during the year.

Members who would like to organise an event or clinic are encouraged to come forward to the committee with ideas, and if approved will run. Such events have included a summer camp, annual hunter trials competition, combined training, a film night, dressage to music, whiskey tasting, club barbeque and a Halloween murder mystery.

We hold inviting and supportive club competitions most months, alternating SJ and dressage.  For our more competitive members, SDRC enters teams and individuals for BRC Area 20 Qualifiers.  Teams or individuals who qualify then represent the club and area at the national championships.  BRC championships cover a range of disciplines, from Dressage, Show Jumping, Combined Training, Combined Challenge/Arena Eventing, Horse Trials and others.
