The 'Harlequin' Novice Dressage Trophy

Lin Vaughan has donated a trophy for this competition designed to encourage genuine novice riders at Novice Level to enter during the year. This competition is open to horse, rider or horse/rider combinations not to have any points in any discipline or to be registered with BE, BD, BSJA ETC and they are to be competing at BD Novice level. 2 sheets (BD Novice level) are to be submitted with the highest percentage through the year. The winner will be awarded the trophy and a £25 training bursary, The winner of the award will be decided by Lin and Kate, whose decision will be final. Competitions will run from the AGM until 1 st October the following year except this year where sheets can start being collected now. Sheets must be signed and dated by the show organiser, sheets can be submitted from Area 20 organised competitions.

SHREWSBURY & DISTRICT RIDING CLUB- TROPHIES

CLUB AWARDS

The Club has approximately 20 perpetual trophies and awards that can be presented annually to recognise achievement at all levels and in all activities through the year. Show jumping trophies are presented to the winners of the appropriate classes at the Club show in April and Training Bursaries are awarded to the winners of the Millennium Championship dressage classes. The annual prize giving is held at the AGM in late October/November.

DRESSAGE

1. BRIAN EVASON SHIELD - Most points gained for dressage competitions during year by horse & rider combination

2. JONES ROSE BOWL - Presented annually for Dressage to Music

3. HIGHLAND EXTRA TROPHY - Awarded for most points in club elementary competitions throughout the year

4. SDRC DRESSAGE TROPHY - Presented for best result of horse & rider in two nominated dressage classes (formerly at Wain House)

5. PERCENTAGE AWARD - Awarded for the highest percentage marks from nominated classes in dressage (formerly at Wain House)

6. ZEBEDEE CUP - Presented to the winner of the CRC Young Horse class 1A; since 2004 presented to the veteran all round competitor

7. DONNA CUP - Presented to the winner of the CRC Prelim Class 2A; since 2004 presented to the most improved show jumper

8. LADY REBECCA CUP - Presented to the winner of the CRC Novice class 4A

9. KIERAN CUP - Presented to the winner of the most advanced class at CRC competitions 2004 presented to the most improved in dressage

THE ALEXANDRA VETERANS CUP - Awarded for the most points in dressage over the year to a veteran rider (55yrs and over); since 2004 awarded for the highest percentage marks at the millennium competition

ALL ROUND PERFORMANCE

10. BLACK JAZZ VASE - Presented for horse and rider combination with best team effort

11. ALTAN TROPHY - Best all round horse based on the year's results

HORSE TRIALS

12. GEORGINA HOME CUP - Awarded for horse trials success (formerly at Berriewood PC Event)

SHOW JUMPING

13. MARY PRICE CUP - Presented for the most points gained in Club show jumping competitions in the year

14 CONNIE WYNN CUP - Awarded to the highest placed SDRC member in the Open Class at the primary show jumping competition annually

15. FIVE CAPRI SHIELD - Awarded to the winner of the beginner show jumping class at the primary show jumping competition annually

16. SDRC SHOW JUMPING PLAQUE - Awarded to the winner of the open novice show jumping class at the primary show jumping competition annually

SUSPENDED TROPHIES

17. PAT AIDLEY TROPHY - Awarded for best all round horse at summer show. Not presented since 1998

18. ONE DAY EVENT TROPHY - Not awarded since 1994

19. JUBILEE CHALLENGE CUP - Formerly awarded to the winners of the Berriewood Challenge. Not awarded since 1996

20. RESTRICTED NOVICE TROPHY - Presented for the best result from restricted prelim class. Trophy retained by winner in 1997
