Dear JumpCrosser, Welcome to the first edition of Greenfield Stud JumpCross Newsletter! As some of you may be aware, our newly relocated JumpCross course is now fully up and running. The course is situated in the very beautiful and picturesque hamlet of Elbridge near Ruyton-XI-Towns, just two minutes off the A5. The new course features many challenges that you can expect from cross country and is suitable for riders of all abilities. Our new course is a bit more challenging on both horse and rider than the previous one, being situated on high and, in some places, steep ground which means that we have better drainage now enabling us to use the course throughout the year. The course has been designed to improve both horse and riders balance and rhythm with some tight turns and the dreaded water jump! As with all cross country, parts of the course are demanding and we ask for a relatively good level of fitness in both horse and rider. 2009 is an exciting year for Greenfield Stud JumpCross as we are featuring a full programme of competitions, training days and our Midsummer Madness Day – details to follow! We have also introduced a new instructor, Jo Follows, whom some of you have already met. This means that the training days can now be run throughout the week according to your own schedule. We will soon be launching our new website which will contain lots of information about the new course and any changes we make to it over the coming months along with details about the stud services we offer (there may even be a picture or two of my incredibly cute foals!) We will be including a page of competition results that will allow us to run our own JumpCross league with a special trophy being presented to the overall champion at the last competition of the year. Details to follow. Your support is greatly appreciated and as such, we are offering regular JumpCrossers a further incentive to spread the JumpCross word with the “Introduce a Friend” scheme that has been devised to benefit all. Here's how it works:-
We have enclosed some training session application forms and information about the next competition dates for you to hand out to your friends. The new course is now ready to train on. Please call on the above numbers for more details or to book your next training session on the new course. Thank you again for your continued support and remember the more people you introduce the more money you save and the more fun the next competition will be! See you soon Debs & Jo
