THE COMPETITION SEASON

The membership year runs from 1st January, with competitive activities starting in the early spring indoors. For those aiming for the AREA 20 QUALIFIERS training and practice competitions focus the teams. Qualifiers are held throughout the summer in the following disciplines:

• Dressage - Open and Novice, Prelim - Medium
• Dressage to Music
• Equitation Jumping- Novice & Open
• Horse Trials - Novice & Open
• Hunter Trials - Novice & Open
• Ridings Tests
• Rural Riders

Any rider may compete either in a team or individually as long as they meet the required safety standards. Entry fees must be paid for by the riders prior to the event.

The culmination of the Dressage year is the Millenium Challenge held October each year.whilst the in house competition season finishes with Christmas show jumping.
