Show Jumping

SDRC has a strong show jumping faction there being over the year a range of activities members can take part in :

• Regular training sessions (two venues are used on alternate wednesdays)
• Ad hoc training sessions (usually as preparation for specific competitions)
• In club competitions
• Inter club competitions
• Area outdoor qualifier (novice/intermediate/open/style)
• Area indoor qualifier (novice)
• Championships (if successful at qualifiers)

Training

Training is held at Walford on alternate Wednesdays with Chris Pugh as trainer. A whole spectrum of combination is catered for ranging from apprehensive riders, young horses to the more established riders. Every session challenges us with something different so it never gets boring! Usually there a number of spectators so it is a good way to meet some other club members.

Stoneyford/ Manorfields Rallies

Anybody interested in Show jump training either at Stoneyford on alternate Wednesday evenings or Thursday afternoons at Manorfields (with Carlos Paro) should contact Linda Russell. At present neither of these are running though Linda is willing to run them again if there is sufficient support

Teams

The club enters teams( and individuals)to qualifiers. Participation is not restricted so if you want to take part it is up to you to contact the Chef d'Equipe prior to the closing date.

Club Competitions

The Club holds a range of competitions throughout the year usually at Walford with a summer show at Berriewood. Generally these are for SDRC members though some shows may be open to other affiliated riding clubs.

The years highlight is the "Connie Wynn" show where various trophies are awarded (usually held in late April/May). The Xmas show contains some fun classes and is a bit of a seasonal gathering.

The next competition is to be held at Walford on Monday 2nd May. This is the second competition of the current season. Come along and start collecting points towards SDRC trophies. Schedule
