Dressage

Dressage lives for expression and the harmony between horse and rider. The goal is not to complete each figure without a mistake; that is just the technical part. The real essence of dressage is not that a movement is correct, but rather the way in which it is executed.
Reiner Klimke: Ahlerich

- Food for thought indeed!

SDRC always had a positive approach to dressage/ flatwork clinics being a cornerstone of the club's philosophy. Jumpers are encouraged to use flatwork to improve their jumping The club is well represented at the dressage qualifiers often with a high level of success, both teams and individuals qualifying for championships at Lincoln and Addington (freestyle DTM).

The club holds regular competitions throughout the year the pinnacle of the club season being the Millennium Challenge with valuable training bursaries at stake.
